Too Fast To Win

At times being the fastest on the track is great. But in bracket racing it quickly kills a dream on Sunday. There are not many days when L&L Racing Engines wished their Top Dragster would run slow, but Sunday morning was the day. The boys dialed in a 7.78 and the car ran a 7.75.  Ouch too fast.

Pascal did his best with a great reaction time of 0.004 seconds. He actually blew the socks off of the other guy. After the start the task of judging the strip is hard. Due to the fact, Pascal would be the first car to leave the starting line. His opponent dialed a 6.30 E.T. meaning the faster car leaves last. There are no rear view mirrors in the car so knowing how far ahead you are is difficult to determine. It is a guessing game in that situation. Pascal did the best he could under the circumstances, he nailed the breaks with 66ft left in the race. Unfortunately, Pascal was still too far ahead and not enough distance to slow down. The only thing he could of done in hind sight was pull the shoot.

This is not a lost to be ashamed of. It was a great learning opportunity that will propel them to victories in the near future.

We will see you in Norwalk.
